I placed an investment order but did not pay for it, but the units have still been allocated. What do I do now?

This is standard operating procedure for the exchange and the AMCs and nothing to be alarmed about. The allocated units are provisional and will get reversed as soon as AMC confirms that you didn’t pay. The transaction reverts usually in 3-5 working days and will get reflected in your transaction reports. You will not be taxed for these failed transactions.
